Kids’ Kickboxing Classes
Our kickboxing classes are perfect for children ages 7 and up who are interested in kickboxing or just trying something new. Some of our students compete in children’s kickboxing competitions while others simply participate for the exercise and community, which are only a few of the benefits of kickboxing for kids. It may sound dangerous, but kickboxing techniques for kids are a great way for your child to learn how to fight without injuring themselves or others. It is also a valuable form of self-defense.
Children’s Kickboxing Competitions
Our specialty at Champions Sport Complex is teaching children how to compete in children’s kickboxing competitions in and around Los Angeles, or even farther away for those who are more serious about the sport. As competitors themselves, our coaches know what makes a good athlete, and they will help your child perfect their kickboxing techniques for kids so they are a step above their opponents.
Many of our students have no wish to compete, and they receive all the same benefits of learning from excellent coaches who give them the skills to excel in and out of kickboxing.
Our difference lies in our passion for the art of kickboxing as an exercise and as a competitive sport. Our coaches have experienced the joys that come with throwing a perfect punch, executing a precise kick, and winning a hard fight. They also know the disappointment of losing or failing to do as well as they hoped. It’s so important that your child learns to respect the sports they participate in and the opponents they face, and our coaches will encourage that respect.
Kickboxing is similar to boxing in that it uses many of the same punches and stances, but it also incorporates kicking. This makes it a full-body workout that engages your child’s core muscles, arms, legs, and even mind.
As they practice precise kicks and punches, your child will learn to focus hard on their instructor’s words and demonstrations as well as on their own moves to identify what they need to improve. Some studies even show that the benefits of kickboxing for kids diagnosed with ADHD include an increased focus in all areas of life.
If your child has clumsy tendencies, it might not be that they’re careless; maybe they just have poor coordination. This is something our kids’ kickboxing classes can help with. As they learn to block and hit their target with kicks and punches, they will develop stronger hand and foot coordination.
During our kids’ kickboxing classes, your child will engage every part of their body, get their heart rate up, and increase blood circulation. It’s an excellent form of cardio that can also relieve stress. They will have more energy outside of kickboxing as they participate in other sports and activities.
