Children’s Wrestling Competitions

We welcome all students, whether your child is interested in competing or wrestling recreationally–either way wrestling offers many benefits!

For those who want to compete, we pride ourselves in training champions in wrestling competitions throughout Los Angeles and beyond. Our coaches have been teaching for years, and most have been training and competing since childhood. Whether your child is competing or not, we will help them reach their fullest potential while instilling in them the value of a good attitude and a strong work ethic.

Our Difference

For many children, the reason they learn to love wrestling is because of how their coaches challenge and encourage them. At Champions Sport Complex, we pride ourselves on having excellent coaches with extensive experience who know how to push children to improve in both the physical and mental areas of wrestling. Our coaches have a genuine love for the sport! They have been wrestling for years and are passionate about raising another generation of champion wrestlers.

Benefits

Wrestling is a heavy-contact sport where children compete as part of a team, but face their opponents individually. This means that children learn discipline and control. They win or lose their matches based on their own merits and how hard they train, but they are also accountable to their team.

DISCIPLINE

Wrestling may seem like a dangerous sport, but it teaches kids to fight and subdue an opponent safely. Children have to train hard to learn correct stances, holds, and grappling techniques to overcome their opponents without causing harm. When they apply the proper discipline to master their moves, they will have huge rewards in and out of wrestling.

ACCOUNTABILITY

When competing as part of a team, children learn to be accountable to their teammates and coaches, who are depending on them to train their hardest and try their best. This includes keeping them accountable at home to keep practicing, eat good food, and sleep well so they have the strongest body they can.

ATHLETICISM

When wrestling, children will learn dexterity, strength, stamina, flexibility, and the ability to think on their feet. All these qualities are valuable for any sport they decide to pursue. They’ll stay active as they grow physically and mentally on the wrestling mat, and whether they win or lose, they’ll be encouraged to keep their heads high and continue improving.

Classes and Opportunities

We offer wrestling classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level students ages 5 and up. Children can sign up for classes two or three times a week, depending on their skill level and if they want to wrestle recreationally or competitively as a part of our team.
